Please share my thanks with everyone who organized & was part of tonight's worship night. It was a wonderful praise night & it greatly touched my heart. It gave me a chance to reflect on God & let go of the week & realize none of the stress I was feeling was even a slight bit as important as praising His Name.
Thank you & all of the organizers & participants for giving up your Friday night to be there for us. It was so appreciated!
In God's Love,
Keri J.
Jay,
I wanted to send a quick note to say thank you for last night's Music Worship Night. I'm new to SPC (after living in So. Cal. for the past 20 years). I worshipped at Malibu Pres for 17 years and was at Bel Air Pres for the past 3. I loved the music worship at both and feel that your worship style makes me feel at home. I know (at least if SPC is like my former churches) that you must hear lots of "constructive criticism/debate" about the "right" music worship style (and the ol' "let's just make it a blended service" ...that no one likes:?).
So...again, I just wanted to say thank you for 1) LEADING worship, not performing 2) being real with the congregation 3) reminding us of the Scripture/experiences the song's writer used to inspire themselves and 4) being professional/choosing (in my humble opinion) a GREAT mix of songs that lead me to worship HIM.
God Bless,
Debbi
congratulations, everyone on a wonderful night of praise! musicians, lead singers, choir, sound and lights, ushers, everything was terrific.
i have been secretly hoping for years that sunset would do events like Praise the One. i've had the privilege of worship leading at this great church many, many times. i was never there once when pastor ron failed to mention the value of real, genuine worship in his message, no matter what he was speaking about. that's pretty amazing. with a pastor who "gets it"
and the tremendous talent and love for our Lord that exists at sunset i think there's room for many more nights like this, opportunities for everyone and anyone to "learn how" to worship and even more importantly to experience God's holy presence.
i can only say, do more! do more!
blessings.
