You may have noticed…

Some dramas beginning to pop up again in our gatherings on Sunday! If you are like me, theatre and dramas have been used in your life in POWERFUL ways to open the heart, drive home a point, help ask questions, break down walls, etc.

Through the years Sunset has had some wonderful and skilled people give their time and talents in this area. Recently, Bonnie Gorshe had stepped down from leading this ministry and I began praying about who God would bring to pick up the baton and begin running again.

God brought us Dania (pronounced Dawnya J ) Behrens who is graduating from George Fox with a degree in theatre. She is a talented writer and actor, has a vision for the power of drama, and her desire to help facilitate collaboration has me thrilled to be working with her. There are already 5 or 6 new people who have stepped forward as this new team is forming. I have officially asked Dania to lead this new team and she has been doing a GREAT job! Dania also serves on our service planning team and has helped shape The Life Marathon teaching series, our spiritual training during that series, and our new series Real Encounters with the Real God.

Quick bio from Dania:
I grew up in Medford, Oregon. My mother is from the area, and my dad is from Cuernavaca , Mexico. I have been involved in theatre since middle school, and I love the community each show creates. I am about one month out from graduating from George Fox University with a degree in Theatre. Yeah! This summer I just got married. My husband, Tyler, and I live in Tigard. He is an accountant at KPMG in downtown. I love stories and different cultures. I love to try new foods. I am excited to get to know more of the congregation!
If you would like to connect to this exciting ministry, please send Dania an email at daniabehrens@gmail.com

Excited and thankful about how God provides!

Special Prayer Request…
… for Mark & Marcia Liebe who have served in our ministry and are battling cancer.
Mark has asked that we pray specifically for peace and His presence for Kendra and the whole family, miraculous and speedy healing for Marcia during her six week recovery, and strength and revelation from the Lord for Mark as he continues to be the "strong man" of the home.

In his email Mark said, “I am trying to tune my ear to listen much more intently and have found it to be a huge comfort and benefit through this all. … God truly has (and I honestly mean this) been so good to us through this time. Blessings and thank you very much.”

Hey Sunset Worship & Creative Arts Ministry! First of all you guys rock! I was wondering if you can post the updated Advent Conspiracy video you showed last Sunday, with the Portland facts. I want to post it on my blog for my non-OR friends. Thanks!
