Tonight was Sunset's first 5pm gathering. Were you there? A few things made this service different...
it's smaller and in the gym
kids are in the service with us or playing in the back room
there are chairs and tables/chairs with coloring paper
Eric asked a question before the message that got people thinking about the topic of the message then people got in small groups of 3-4 and answered it.
we served dinner after the message.
People asked Ron questions after the message.
I'm posting from my laptop during the service...

We were there, and we really liked it. We connected with some people that we haven't seen in eons; we liked the feeling of the somewhat informal teaching/Q&A; the food smelled great and it was a great idea (although we didn't stay this time, we may in the future); loved the kids' bulletin; did wish for a tiny bit more separation between the play area and the main area (maybe just a couple more panels pulled over?); liked the music; liked not rushing to church on Sunday morning. :)
