For the last several months, Sunset has been following a course of action leading to transferring our affiliation from the Presbyterian Church USA (PC/USA) to the Evangelical Presbyterian Church (EPC). After a Christ-led discussion, the Presbytery of the Cascades gave us their permission to continue to work towards this goal at their meeting on November 8th.
Before we can complete the transfer of our affiliation to the EPC, we must receive a response from each and every member currently at Sunset indicating whether or not they would like to remain a member of Sunset. Our records indicate that you are currently a member of Sunset Presbyterian Church. In order for Sunset to be released from the PC/USA to the EPC we must receive an actual response from you. If we do not receive a response from you by February 1st, we will regrettably be required to remove your name from membership at Sunset and your membership will come under the custodial care of the PC/USA. After prayerful consideration, would you please let us know of your desires in this regard?

Use the “Friendship Registration” card in the Sunday Bulletin or the card in the seat back.
Each individual member must respond for themselves, including minor children (if they are actually members of Sunset). Only one method of notification is needed.Thank you in advance for helping us in this process.
