Thoughts from Jay McKenney
Questions
My house is a house full of questions. "Daddy, can I have a cookie?" "Daddy, why do people get married?" "Daddy, is that fat on your tummy?" "Daddy, when do we go to heaven?" Questions, all day, every day. When you are a child, questions are a part of life. And then for some reason, at some point, they stop... or they are harder to ask... or asking makes us more uncomfortable than our desire to be sure. We become people who desire to look like we have the answers rather than having questions.
How should I be spending my time? My money? What does it mean for me to really walk with Jesus? Is He really pleased with me despite my actions? What is church all about? How should I view it? Why do I still struggle with this or that? What would my wife say if I asked her how I could be a better husband and friend to her? What would my friends say if I asked them what was the number one trait they see in me? What is behind my emotions? Am I a good example? Am I a good boss, employee, friend, team member?
What are the questions rattling around in your head that you are afraid to ask? What questions are you afraid to hear the answers? In Matthew 18 Jesus talks about us needing to have faith like a child. My daughter completely trusts that Jesus is God, and feels comfortable enough in her faith to ask questions out loud as they form in her head. A child typically has no problem asking, usually accepts the answer, and naturally trusts that the intent of the answer is good. My challenge for you today is to take one of your hidden questions and actually ask it, out loud, to God or a friend or both today.
And he said: "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 18:3-4 New International Version (NIV)

WCA All Ministry Training Day
Sunday, March 14th, 12:45pm – more information coming next week!
Please pencil out the afternoon on March 14th. We will be providing lunch right after the eleventh hour, and then various breakouts and ministry wide moments will be shared together.
My goal would be that a couple hundred of us would be there. From our ushers, to our choir, to our orchestra, to our vocalists, to our prayer warriors, to our band, to our tech... we are all on one team and the goal is to be all together on this day.
Sincerely, Jay

Come support and bolster the immune system of the weekend services.
Help us inoculate them with powerful prayers.
Each week, a few of us gather to pray over the weekend services. We typically meet on the night of the service rehearsal, which is generally on Thursday. We'd love to have you join us, whenever it might fit in your schedule. Come once, monthly or weekly.
What to expect: We enjoy a devotional time together first, with the whole service team, at 7pm. That lasts about a half hour. Then we break off for a time of prayer that lasts about 45 minutes to an hour. Join us?
Occasionally the day/time varies. With that in mind, contact Melinda melindalgroth@gmail.com to verify the schedule.
