Worship Update 4/2

From Jay

The Apostle Paul's Letter to Sunset
I don’t memorize scripture enough. The few times I do it, I find the process so encouraging, because I have to say or write out the scripture so many times to get it to sink in, that it becomes alive in an unexplainable way.

I am memorizing a small section of scripture for Easter this weekend, and I am going to attempt to write it out from memory right now, but I am going to write it as if Paul was writing to Sunset instead of the Ephesians.

“When I think of all this, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father,
the Creator of everything in heaven and earth.
I pray that from His glorious, unlimited resources,
He will empower the people of Sunset
with inner strength through His spirit.
Then Christ will make His home in their hearts
as they place their trust in Him.
Their roots will grow down into God’s love and keep them strong.

And may the people of Sunset have the power to understand,
as all God’s people should,
how wide, how long, how high, and how deep His love is.
May they experience the love of Christ,
though it is too great to understand fully.
Then they will be made complete in all the fullness of life and power of God.
Amen

P.S. I had to look three times. Still have a little work to do to commit this to memory before Saturday.

Come support and bolster the immune system of the weekend services.
Help us inoculate them with powerful prayers.
Each week, a few of us gather to pray over the weekend services. We typically meet on the night of the service rehearsal, which is generally on Thursday. We'd love to have you join us, whenever it might fit in your schedule. Come once, monthly or weekly.

What to expect: We enjoy a devotional time together first, with the whole service team, at 7pm. That lasts about a half hour. Then we break off for a time of prayer that lasts about 45 minutes to an hour. Join us?
Occasionally the day/time varies. With that in mind, contact Melinda melindalgroth@gmail.com to verify the schedule.
